STEM’s primary modules
Cash Out
The Cash Out module is an automated income management process that eliminates the need for cumbersome, hard to maintain, manually managed Excel spreadsheets. It eliminates manual-entry errors and gives you the confidence to believe your numbers.
The Cash Out module also enables the effective management of:
- credit cards, cash, checks,
- comps, gift certificates and discounts
- refunds and item voids
Purchasing
Our Inventory module places you in control by providing real-time inventory data, automated suggested ordering and a purchases budgeting facility. STEM thereby maintains accurate, profitable inventory levels and product data, reducing total goods-on-hand and decreasing financial risk.
The Inventory module also enables the effective management of:

- food cost and gross profit
- cost and retail pricing
Bank Reconciliation
The single most important function for financial freedom, in any business, is the effective management of cash flow. This well-developed and functional module automatically verifies nightly bank deposits against sales to extend cash control and reduce loss opportunities (eg. potential theft).
It also gives accurate past and current figures and reconciles income and expense information. All data is imported from your bank’s online statement exports and then processed into your accounting package.
Accounting
Income and expenses are managed through a complete accounting process. All data is easily exported to any accounting package, both simplifying and ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
Labor
Accurately measure employee working hours and attendance, and control labor spend whilst ensuring that your business is always adequately staffed. Define "labor-cost" budgets based on historical turnover and schedule staff accordingly!
Recipes
With STEM's comprehensive Recipe module, you can create the disciplined environment needed for individual recipe management and accurate calculation of "Food Cost". STEM also allows menu-items as recipe ingredients.
Menu Management
Synchronize your stores’ menus with one click and then create a new item, once, for all stores or copy existing items from location to location. Control a product’s attributes, per location or globally, from one place.
Operational Management
Manage single or multi-site tasks and events, on one global calendar. This module includes event responsibility assignment and detailed follow-up reporting on all operational activities.

STEM’s outstanding management reports and crucial financial information can also be viewed graphically. Your own reports can easily be customized and added on request.
